PDG Construction Services, Inc. begins construction on the highly anticipated Goldfish Swim School in West Linn, Oregon

PDG Construction Services, Inc. “PDG”, one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading commercial general contracting companies focusing on complex commercial projects, celebrated the start of construction of the Goldfish Swim School in West Linn, Oregon.

The project will consist of the demolition of the interior of the former Ace Hardware store location, the shoring up of the roof prior to the removal of the floor to ceiling supports currently in place and then the construction of the Junior Olympic pool and brightly colored interior finishes and wall murals.

Brian Lessler, President, of PDG Construction Services is excited to be business partners with Goldfish Swim Schools and Alex Tyler for the delivery of this unique community asset. Goldfish has vast experience in the development of these facilities and their demand for the highest quality throughout is exemplary. From numerous conversations I have had with parents and children in the community and our church, I predict that their pools will be full of many little “Goldfish” and adults alike!

Alex Tyler, President, of Goldfish Swim School shared his vision for this first of six swim schools slated for the Portland area. Alex said that many of his friends in Portland told him that there are not a lot of pools to access for good, quality swimming lessons. The location in Willamette/West Linn reminds him a lot like home, with the community being proud of their city and the downtown Willamette area. Alex finds he can’t walk anywhere without seeing children. He feels he has found the perfect building in the former Ace Hardware store and is confident families will love it here!

Construction began mid-July 2024 and is expected to be completed by mid-December 2024, with the date of the grand opening soon to be announced. The facility was designed by Interplan Architects LLC of Altamont Springs, Florida.
